Answers to the questions we are asked most often. Can't find yours? All the others are on the FAQ page.
All questions →From what age can children ride?
From age 2 with baby pony (group lessons for ages 2 to 6) and hand-led Shetland rides. School holiday courses are open from age 4. And there is no upper age limit: we run group lessons for adult beginners and experienced riders alike.
Do I need to know how to ride to sign up?
No, lessons are open to all levels, from complete beginners to competition riders. Contact us to book a trial lesson and we will place you in the right group.
What should I wear?
Riding breeches, or close-fitting stretchy trousers (joggers or leggings), and riding boots or jodhpur boots with half chaps. An approved riding hat is compulsory. A body protector is recommended for show jumping and compulsory for cross-country.
Can I visit the stables before choosing livery?
Of course. Call us to check availability and arrange a tour of the facilities: arenas, gallop track, paddocks and stables.
